Snack on Almonds
A City of Hope National Medical Center experiment had subjects eat 70 almonds a day and follow a reduced-calorie diet for 6 months which resulted in an 18 percent drop in their body weight. Why?  Because almonds are nutritionally dense and the fat, protein and fiber all help to make you feel fuller longer.

Chew The Pounds Away
Studies have shown that chewing sugar-free gum for a total of an hour in the morning resulted in eating an average of 67 fewer calories throughout the day and expended about 5% more energy than when they did not chew gum.  That might not seem like a lot, but done in conjunction with a proper diet and exercise chewing gum may help speed up the results.

Pour a Bowl of Cereal for Lunch
Thinking of hitting up the vending machines for lunch? Try a bowl of cereal instead! A study from Purdue University has shown these cereal eating subjects consumed an average of 640 fewer total daily calories and lost roughly 4 pounds in a two week period. This doesn’t mean you should gorge on sugar laden cereal’s every lunch, but rather opt for high fiber cereals All-Bran or Kashi with skim or low-fat milk.

Slurp Soup To A Slimmer You
Say that ten times real fast! Low-calorie soup eaten at the start of a meal has been shown to reduce the amount of food and calories consumed at that meal (soup plus entrée) a Penn State study showed. Choose a broth based soup instead of cream based and keep the serving around the 100 to 150 calorie mark.
