Im eating clean foods, but Im not losing weight. Why?

Q: I’m eating “clean foods” all the time, I rarely cheat, yet I am not losing weight.  What gives?

A: Eating so-called “clean foods” doesn’t necessarily mean you will lose those unwanted pounds.  You could eat a strict diet of lean meat, organic vegetables, grains and fruits, but if you’re taking in more calories than you consume you will not lose weight.  You need to create a deficit. To do this you don’t need to count every calorie you consume (but wouldn’t hurt if you don’t mind doing it), rather eat smaller portions, cut out one of your daily meals or burn calories through exercise and measure the results.
