Q: I’m a college student who is constantly on the run between classes and work. I have no way of keeping food cold or anywhere to warm it up on campus because the cafeteria is closed by the time I get there. So, currently I just eat out for most of my meals. How can I eat healthy on the go?
A: This is a great question and can apply to many people in various stages of life, not just college students. People with families and full time jobs, etc can feel overwhelmed and time-crunched, making it hard to prepare healthy meals.
So, how can you eat healthier on the run? With a little bit of planning is how!
How To Eat Healthy On The Go
Make sure you start your day with a healthy breakfast. If this requires waking up 5 minutes earlier to prepare something at your home then so be it.
There are also plenty of healthy items you can pack up and take with you that don’t require refrigeration or heating up. Peanut butter sandwiches, apples, bananas, and nut’s just to name a few.
You could even try making a few meals on the weekend and freezing them for later during the week. You can just reheat them up when you run home between classes or after work.
