Q: When I try to cut calories and follow a diet plan I never feel full. I’m constantly thinking about food because I’m always hungry. What do I need to do lose weight and not feel like I’m starving myself?
A: Excellent question! This is something a lot of dieters struggle with and can make or break your diet.
Luckily though, you can effectively cut calories and not always feel hungry by eating the right foods and by making sure you aren’t cutting out too many calories.
How To Lose Weight Without Being Hungry
First of all, you need to make sure you’re not trying to cut too many calories out of your diet. When people first start their diets they are pumped up and ready to lose weight as quickly as possible.
So, if cutting 500 calories out of your diet a day leads to 1 pound of fat loss in a week, then cutting 1000 calories a day will be twice as good right?
Not for a lot of people.
Check out our page on how many calories you should eat to lose weight for detailed information on cutting the right amount of calories.
Second of all, by eating the right types of foods you will be able to lose weight and feel full. These types of foods are typically high in protein and/or fiber. Check out our page on foods that make you feel full for information on how to stop those hunger cravings in their tracks.
So, simply put, by cutting out a realistic amount of calories and eating the right foods you can effectively lose weight without feeling hungry. Which, in my opinion, is the ONLY way to lose weight! :)
