My go-to drink at Starbuck’s has always been their Skinny Caramel Macchiato!
It’s one of their few choices that has a respectable amount of calories and sugar with a fairly high amount of protein!
So, I decided to take it a step further with this Skinny Caramel Macchiato variation with only 45 calories (less than half the calories of the Starbucks version).
And it even comes complete with foam…. more on how to achieve that below.
Perhaps best of all, it only takes a few minutes to make. Quicker than it takes to go through the drive thru at Starbucks. And it’s about a tenth of the price!
- Add skim milk, caramel syrup, stevia and vanilla extract into blender and blend on low for 15 - 30 seconds or until it foams up
- Pour hot coffee into large mug and then pour in the mixture
- Drizzle a little caramel on top
